instead of saying 'Thank you for your service' even though I know what they went through just historically but never experienced it for myself, I say 'Welcome Home' becaude most Vietnam veterans never got a Welcome home

it’s horrible. i have a regular at my bar who cried when i gave him the veteran discount saying he didn’t deserve it. these were kids 18 year old boys forced to commit war crimes for the rich 😞😞

My grandad wouldn’t even talk about Vietnam. All he ever said to me about it was “it was sickening and I’ll die before I tell my story” That’s the one and only time i’ve ever heard him speak on his time in the army.
