But why does a grown woman need a man to guide her? A healthy relationship is two people leading a household together. Growing together. He isn’t her teacher. He isn’t an authority figure for her. He’s an authority figure for their kids if they have any. Just like she is. But they are a team. He isn’t her boss. He isn’t her shepherd. She is just as capable. I agree that as a couple, you gotta be able to compromise and work together. This goes both ways. But I hate the term and phrasing “guiding” or “leading”. No. That’s a parents job. Hee mother and father did that when she was a child and teenager. Then she became an adult. Just like him. Her voice matters just as much. His opinion doesn’t weight heavier.
