It can cause serotonin syndrome; vomiting, tremors, agitation, seizures, even death. If it’s ever chewed, broken, or missing, it’s an emergency and a vet or poison hotline should be called right away. Always store meds out of reach and clean any dropped pills fast. Cats are way more sensitive to human antidepressants than people realize.

funny yes, but in all seriousness if the cat did manage to eat it, it would be an emergency. even in small amounts lexapro can cause serotonin syndrome. (no this isnt one of those silly funny jokes, lexapro is genuinely dangerous to cats.)
