@humanity_echoes: *Edit: before you go commenting about the audio, I KNOW it’s not ideal atm. I’m still new to this and still learning how my tech works since I’ve never used mics before starting content creation and never got enough engagement to get feedback about my audio I want my platform to be a place where people feel comfortable enough to ask questions, so by all means, if you’re confused about what I said in this video, ask about it in the comments! I can provide my own answers; send you off to a scientific paper, article, or video that will explain things better (and faster) than I can; or give you some places to start looking for information if you’re the type who prefers researching on your own :) I didn’t have time to talk about the history of this kind of argument, but it’s a long one directly tied to the beginnings of my discipline, so I have strong feelings about the subject (I think that’s clear in the vid). The idea that “we are all human” is a strangely controversial one, but in my experiences with our bones, we are all the same under our flesh. It’s our lived experiences that shape who we are as individuals, not our genetics or our ancestry, and regardless of what pseudoscience some people keep peddling, we are all members of one singular species #humanevolution #Science #human #facts #fypシ

it's also important to note that human brains are evolved to focus on human faces, and our societies reinforce that. it's easier to tell apart two humans than two dogs of the same breed bc we're built to tell humans apart and communicate with expressions

Also, "more evolved" is not a thing, especially when comparing two organisms that are alive at the same time. Humans are not "more evolved" than brine shrimp, we've both been evolving for the same time since our shared common ancestor! 🥰

???? I didn't even know this was in question? isn't "same species" determined by the offspring's fertility?

arent Denisovians a different subspecies? (not that they separately exist anymore) The Sherpa have a different blood protein that allows them to be able to survive in low 02 environments.. What, genetically makes a different species, subspecies species? of course the issue is that some people want to pre-group people because of such differences...

Ma, you are saying too much. Just too questions topples their arguments. 1. Do mixed race people exist? 2. Are mixed race people typically sterile? If they answer with a yes and no respectively, then there you have it, we are not different species.

This is also true for race. People who think races exist within Humans have been failed by the education system as well.

I think they don’t fundamentally understand what our dna is made up of. Like what the genes in our dna actually code for. Over 99% of our dna is completely identical, and that may sound exaggerated, but think abt it. There’s so much coding for just MAKING the proteins in our body. Skin colour is just how much of an identical substance (melanin) is present in the skin. Like the only change in genetics there isn’t even the massively complex coding to make the proteins that make up the cells that make the melanin, it’s just how much it makes. And it’s the same melanin for hair and eye colour. This is usually what ppl consider the huge, obvious genetic differences between humans, but the genetic coding for it is TINY ASF! Now it makes sense why we share such a massive amount of our genes with smth like bananas, because of the sheer amount of it codes for proteins we all have— even plants— but make different arrangements and amounts that expresses the genes differently- to make a human or a banana. (Srry that last part was worded poorly). My point is, like less than 200 genes code for skin colour, and we can say that we have AT LEAST 20,000 genes (I’m using the general lower estimate). That’s literally 1%, but if we’re being accurate the real number would be less than that. Even so, for the roughly 200 genes that supposedly code for skin colour how much of an effect it actually has is debatable. Anyway these phenotypes people make a big deal of are actually fucking tiny 😭

Not to be “that guy” but there are human subspecies, they’re just extinct. H. sapiens rhodesiensis(or arcaicus) and H. sapiens idaltu specifically, are sometimes referred to as H. sapiens subspecies (along with us, H. sapiens sapiens)

they think there are different humans but they except all dogs are dogs? I'd much quicker believe that a chihuahua and a husky are different subspecies than any two humans
