I fought for a year, he then decided he needed a break so he could text his ex back while my mom was in the hospital because she was on the verge of having sepsis and he then decided he wanted to break up but he meant it as a longer break I took him back and I started detaching without meaning to and broke up with him 2 weeks ago after 3 months of grieving our relationship. I still feel sad about it but I shouldn't have to beg for the bare minimum or feel like I couldn't count on him to be there for me during hard times.
