Nobily 5 :
In life, we all start The Long Walk.
We are born onto a road where the finish line is unknown, and the only real rule is: keep moving. Society applauds our endless effort, urging us to walk faster, sacrifice more, and never stop.
But as the walk goes on, the pressure to maintain the pace becomes all-consuming. We become so focused on the next step—on survival, not living—that the journey loses its meaning. This forced, endless movement is where our mental health begins to fray.
Slowly, we lose the people we love. Some fall behind, unable to keep up the pace. Others we push away because the effort of the walk demands too much. We sacrifice our connections, our joy, and our emotional well-being for a vague promise of a "win" we may never reach.
The tragedy of the Walk is realizing that the real prize was never at the finish line; it was the human connection—the conversations, the support, and the brief moments of shared life we had with others on the road.
If we don't hold onto those bonds, our journey becomes a desolate, solitary march where we simply wait for the end, broken and empty, having sacrificed everything for nothing.
The lesson: Don't just walk to survive; find a reason to live with those beside you.
