My mom’s good friend was gay. We were on a trip to NYC in 2008 and he had a heart attack in the middle of the street. We were devasted, and his boyfriend (long term, 20+ years but they couldn’t be married) was with us. His family met us at the hospital and refused to let his partner see him. He never was able to see him again as he passed away. Anyone thinking this doesnt happen, hateful people exists everywhere and it absolutely does.

that's not what's happening on November 7th. This woman has been appealing her case since 2016 and at every point the courts have not sided with her. She kept appealing it until she got to the supreme Court who are REQUIRED to look at her appeal 2x. Her first review is on November 7th to see if the supreme Court will even look into it. Even if they do look into and they side in her favor, it doesn't overturn gay marriage. It just means she shouldn't have gotten fired for refusing to do her job

When I start feeling empathy for conservatives who are also getting hurt by this administration, I remember they voted to separate families. They think Charlie Kirk was a good Christian. They voted for a man who has been convicted of 34 felonies and found liable for sexual assault. They want the government to be able to dictate how large someone’s family is. They are mad there’s going to be a Spanish-speaking halftime show for the Super Bowl, but not that millions of kids are about to go hungry because SNAP benefits are not being processed next month. They claim America first but send our tax dollars to Argentina and Israel so they can afford healthcare for their citizens. Our morals are just not the same.

Pretty sure it won’t affect anyone who is already married. Atleast not for awhile. Because then they’d have to change the ruling on ex post facto laws for both federal and state. Which would have a major affect on both levels for more than just marriage.

you're getting ahead of it, on Nov 7 they will have a second conversation about whether or not to hear the case. now I fully believe they will take away our rights but it's going to happen sometime in the spring most likely. Not in November.

I got married Nov 7 of 2020 when Joe Biden was announced as the next president. I cried, the fear had been temporary lifted and I knew we’d be ok. This year I don’t know if we will be ok. Sending you so much love and peace during these turbulent times 🫂
