i wasn’t obsessed with specifically male validation, just validation in general that i wasn’t hideously ugly. I never wanted attention, just reassurance because all my life ive been bullied to believe im unlovable and disgusting. I always tried to change my appearance to look more desirable for him because idk in my mind i wasnt good enough or pretty enough no matter how much he told me i was. It mustve been draining to be with someone as insecure as me and i feel guilty for it every day.
