Our town’s facebook group is already getting posts for Venmo & CashApp requests for food & lights, & water bill. The state food banks have limited the food boxes to 1 due to budget cuts. The churches are reducing food boxes to 1 bag.

When I was in college my mom taught me to buy meat in bulk break it down into meals for my family she taught me that I could always come up with a couple dollars for a bag or rice, beans or canned veggies but meat was the most expensive part. When I got snap I did this. I still do this. I wish more people were taught this

My concerns for November and December are always that my son (and other kids) are out of school more days, which means more meals at home during weekdays with no additional supplementation. My son's birthday is also mid-November. Plus being in the Midwest, we're buying fall/ winter gear to prepare for the season, doing winter prep on the car. It is just not financially feasible to do it all well. This was a challenge I was trying to plan for with benefits, so now not having them, I'm even more concerned. I'm a thrift shopper, couponer who shops sales type. I even take my son's too small stuff to Consign for cash toward his next clothes. There's just not enough $.

And the Dems are getting paid their checks, but they are using these families, the last bill was Only the pay Snap, the employees who are not being paid nothing else and they still voted No it was ONLY to help these families and they still said no! This isn’t ok!!!

Plus a lot of them are use to buying processed/easy foods and so not only will they have no fs to buy food, they won't know what to buy in order to make meals and or the kids will be in food shock when they no longer have the foods they are use to/like. People needed to spend October stamps on basics like rice and beans and oats. Canned veggies and canned fruits. I hope we can all step up and help by donating to our local food pantries.

I literally just spent 250 on all my shelf items yesterday. tomorrow I plan on spending my remaining 250 on meats. I'm hoping that what I've purchased will last me and my kids for a minute.
