Girl let me tell you you’re not crazy because I’m Latina, didn’t even know Bosnia existed until I met my husband, im also not Muslim but the moment I stepped foot in that land, my soul was on fire. I cried like a baby hearing the prayer from a Mosque in Mostar, then bawled over the most beautiful mountains and rivers and waterfalls. I felt everything I’ve never felt. Bosnia literally stole my heart so much so I ended up buying a house there 2 years ago and planning on moving there.

Because it is the Ottoman culture. You will have this feeling in all the cities, countries were Ottoman empire was established. It is based on freedom, respect and peace. Real Islam was the guide of all the real democracy.

In the early 1880s, a group of Bosnian families who had emigrated from the territory of present-day Bosnia-Herzegovina founded the village of Qisarya on the site of the ancient Roman Caesarea, about 37 kilometers south of the city of Haifa on the Palestinian coast. Mozda si Bosanka a da neznaš

Possible it’s because of shared trauma. All Bosnians (to my knowledge) love and understand Palestine plight mostly because we went through it. ❤

As a Bosnian, I honestly think the reason you feel that way is because of the strong Ottoman influence and the whole atmosphere it left across our country. Muslim people usually feel very much at home here because of the peaceful, kind spirit that Bosnians have. Just like Palestinians, we’ve been through a lot in the past, so we can truly understand and relate to any kind of suffering. That’s why our people tend to have so much empathy and such a warm, welcoming approach to others. The oriental touch in our architecture, food, and culture just adds to that sense of familiarity, that feeling of being home even when you’re far away. Hearing someone talk about Bosnia like this honestly makes me so proud. You and all Palestinians are always more than welcome to come back anytime. Bosnia will always be here with open hearts and open doors. ❤️🇧🇦🇵🇸
