Finding Dory is the perfect example to show someone what it is like to be parents of a disabled child. Mom crying in their house was very much me when I was 2 years deep into diagnosing my daughter. Later that year, we find out she has autism, adhd, and ptsd. A diagnosis answered all our questions. I could finally help her correctly.

Seeing this in theaters was everything, the grief I felt when her parents were no longer in the program to being so happy they were waiting for her! Cried buckets but it was worth it, like they trusted she’d find her way back, no matter how long it would take 😭 they were made to be parents 😖
