Here is a look at how I made my own ceramic altar for Hecate! DESCRIPTION - This altar is stylized after a Greek temple. In the middle is an abstract representation of her labyrinth symbol. There are two shelves for offerings. (I usually offer her a Smokey Quartz crystal and some garlic). I designed for there to be two candle holders since Hecate is known to hold two torches. The last detail of her altar is the key. KEY STORY - Shortly after finishing this altar I was on the hunt for an old key that I could use as an offering. I did find one from an antique store (but didn't feel it was the right one) and I performed my first invoking ceremony, asking for her guidance. The next day my husband and daughter found a very old key in the middle of the garden. We took it as a sign and I swapped the key out. HECATE INFORMATION - Hecate (also spelled Hekate) is a powerful and ancient goddess from Greek mythology associated with magic, witchcraft, the moon, necromancy, crossroads, ghosts, and the underworld. She is often depicted holding torches, keys, or accompanied by dogs and serpents, symbolizing her ability to move between worlds and guide souls. A triple goddess, she embodies maiden, mother, and crone aspects, and is also linked to the Dark Moon or New Moon phase, when the sky is empty and ripe for deep transformation. Hecate is a protector of the marginalized—especially women, witches, and outcasts—and grants inner power, wisdom, and access to hidden knowledge. In modern spiritual and witchcraft practices, Hecate is revered as a guide through shadow work, a guardian at spiritual thresholds, and a source of sovereignty and transformation. #handmadealtar #hecate #hecatealtar #ceramicaltar #hekate #hecateoffering #hekateoffering #witchcraft
