Nobody is flying in right now. The people who are there got there before the airports closed. It’s not like they can evacuate now. Telling people not to travel to a country that relies on tourism during hurricane season isn’t wise. These storms sometimes develop over night & The season lasts 3 months.

Seriously. And I love how the tourists are on TikTok saying “the resort staff say we’re going to be safe” while everyone in the comments are saying this is going to be catastrophic, well ya honey they have to tell you everything will be fine in their best customer service voice. 🤦♀

That’s bc they don’t think it’s going to happen. Whenever someone hears hurricane they always assume it’s not going to be bad until it’s too late. I agree with you 100%.
