Biscuit has been a painful lesson in trust, and a reminder that sometimes, caution must come before trust in others. In over 23 years of being around, working with, and owning horses, I’ve never experienced something like this - being mis-sold a horse was a first, and it really has changed the way I see people and this world. It’s incredibly hard to comprehend how some people can live with themselves, knowing they’ve put not only adults but also young children at real risk. That’s something I will never understand. Biscuit, I’m truly grateful you found your way to me, to someone who truly cared and was willing to do the right thing, no matter how heartbreaking.
