This is one of the reasons when have post partum depression 😩, new moms are mostly alone in urban areas, the husband goes to work, she is left alone at home with her baby and her thoughts. Community mattered.

Thats a misleading concept, the adults from neighbours or village can be dangerous to the children and might teach them bad things and influence them badly as adults and manipulative to the children plus can be predators so the safest environment is to be with parents and other kids not with strangers! He said that because of his own childhood trauma

he's half right. The clan/community is the next rung of the social ladder. Primary care and raising starts with the parents, they are socialized to join the clan/community. Not directly raised by it primarily.

Am from the Pacific, and this has always been the case in my society for thousands of years. Children brought up by extending family seem to be more well behaved than those raised in nuclear families
