@shelliharmonmilli: In my opinion, these are the stops you can’t miss at Acadia National Park. If you only have a day, plan on Thunder Hole, check the tide times for the day, you want to go closest to high tide. Sand Beach is beautiful! You can’t actually see the sunset from the beach but you do get the beautiful sunset colors! Jordan Pond House was a highlight for me. The lobster popovers are worth the wait. Eat outside in the tea yard if possible. Walk some or all of the loop around the pond. Stunning. Walk, bike, or E-bike some or all of Carriage Road. Bass Harbor lighthouse is very pretty and only a short walk 2/10 mi maybe) from the parking area. Allow some time for spontaneous stops! There’s so much more to see in the park loop. Research and pick your priorities. You need to reserve a time to drive up Cadillac Mountain, but if you can’t get it scheduled, you can get other Amazing views all around the park! If time allows, drive to the mainland part of Acadia to the Schoodic Point Peninsula. You won’t regret it.
