I just wanted to share this in case it’s helpful — if not, no worries at all. TAKE SHELTER NOW if conditions are severe: move to an interior, windowless room or a basement, stay away from windows and exterior walls, and remain there until officials say it’s safe. Expect a spell of prolonged heavy rain, very strong and possibly damaging winds, and an increased risk of flooding, mudslides, and landslides. Some regions could become cut off for hours or even days, with potential power, water, or communication outages. Bring everyone, including pets, inside and keep them together. Move valuables, important documents, and medications to higher ground or take them with you if you need to evacuate. Charge your phones and power banks, keep flashlights and batteries ready, and have a small emergency kit with water, food, medications, identification, cash, and a first-aid kit. Avoid traveling or driving unless absolutely necessary — never drive through floodwaters, as even shallow water can sweep a car away. If water levels are rising or the ground becomes unstable, move to higher ground immediately and avoid riverbanks, steep slopes, and low-lying areas. Secure or bring inside any loose outdoor objects that could be picked up by the wind. Check on elderly, disabled, or isolated neighbors if you can, and share this message to help others stay informed. Follow all official instructions and evacuation orders without delay, and stay tuned to reliable weather and emergency updates. Do not enter flooded buildings or touch floodwater, as it can be contaminated or electrified. Keep communication open with family and friends to let them know you are safe.
