I would probably give my friend an earful but they would still be my friend, I would bring it up in every argument but cheaters can grow and become better, if someone is cheating on you you should run for the hills but the cheater can get help and work towards being a better person, but I understand anyone who would cut their friend off for that

my thing is like... what if I do care that my friend cheated but I also don't think it's enough to end a friendship over? like it all just seems way too black and white imo. there are other options than ending a friendship and completely enabling behavior you don't agree with. we can have a middle ground

me personally it depends on who the partner is. maybe a bit selfish of me but i personally don’t care if a bad person gets cheated on. so if i’ve met the partner and i’ve seen/heard nothing good about them then i couldn’t bring myself to care if they’re being cheated on. wether the cheater in question is my friend or not changes nothing

To me it depends on who the partner is. If the partner doesn’t treat the friend with respect or love, I don’t care at all. How can you be emotionally unfaithful to someone who clearly doesn’t show you compassion, yk? If the partner is just like some npc who’s been there for a week or two and isn’t a long-term relationship, I would leave it be but question my friends perception of relationships. If it’s like a long term partner who’s been good to the friend, I’d likely tell the partner and drop the friend😭

I just tell the partner. Clearly my friend is checked out of the relationship but is doing the wrong thing. And I'll tell my friend that I told them to. Hell if I suspect my friend of cheating I'll tell their partner and I'll tell my friend I told them too. I am your friend and I do this not to hurt you but to get all the drama and B's out the way with.

this is the only take that matters I fear. Personally its dependent upon the person's level of remorse and if they're willing to come clean/not so it again. Otherwise I'm putting some distance. And even then depending on the scenario this is flexible.

I'm a big believer that my attitude will depend on how the person behaves. If they feel sorry for that and have told their partner about it, etc., then I'll still be their friend and will help them grow and all that (maybe a little suspicious, but nothing more). But if the person doesn't care, behaves disgustingly, hides everything, etc., then it's obvious I'll stop being friends with them. If this person behaves this way with someone who has romantic interest in them, then how will they treat me? (I say this because for many people, romance is much more important than friendship.)
