Big guys up front are faster than the slightly less big guys on the defense. Easier to push/create a hole for the RB run or for the QB to throw it.

My husband says running around takes longer but sometimes the melee is in such a small grouping and it very obviously makes more sense to go two feet to the left or right and go around. I also have to keep in mind football was invented by men so some parts just won’t make sense.
