I know plenty of women that refuse to even go on one date with a cop, military member, or other departments like ice or co's. It's too likely to end in violence and there's no protection from that.

When he went to meet me he texted and said I'm here and I replied "I saw you in person and I don't find you attractive so there's no point for a date.
