this was not a bad interaction at all. notice Eve Noel did not aggressively swipe and bat at Halo. And the fact that she rolled over looked like she was trying to be kind of playful. she may have growled but she did not attack. I think they will be buddies in no time.

Do not let them go at it. This is progress and it will take time. You don’t want the kitten getting hurt and Eve will be dominant until she gets used to the idea Halo is here to stay.

Give them time..each time i introduced a new cat or kitten to my others the original were unhappy for a few days until they get used to the new addition..I think they just like to let them know their place and then all is well 😅

Get more time keep the net up introduce him like this a few more times before you let them go. If you look at the video, you’ll see that Eve Noel is not really hitting him or trying to scratch him. She’s just threatening him.

Not a bad interaction. she's anxious and scared, totally normal. Swatting is 100% normal. mine did all of this too. all part of the process. Laying on her side with her stomach exposed is always a good sign

it's very important to let the og teach the kitten. get a spray bottle, and if it gets to rough squirt them. the kitten will learn her boundaries, but not if you keep them separated. I would however keep them separated while you are away.

I kind of had similar experiences with these 2 this year. Kiki is the tabby, 1.5 years and Cooper is the white one and he’s 7 months now. When we brought him home in May, he was about 8 weeks and Kiki was NOT having it. It took her about 2 months of slow introductions and allowing her to check him out at her own pace. She would hiss, growl and slap and run away. Now they are best friends. Just takes time and patience!

I’ve watched every video of Halo and Eve… I would definitely say that progress has been made because Even wasn’t going after Halo to attack him. She just laid there. Definitely don’t let them go at it, I would say just keep doing what you did in this video… not sure how often, but give Eve rest breaks because of her losing her meow from growling. Maybe just a few minutes a day? Like 5-10 minutes and slowly increase as Eve calms down?

Seems like a good start. Cats are fairly rubbish at communicating with each other so neither really know what the other intends. This will take a lot of time. Keep doing more of this for now. Don’t leave them unsupervised yet
