I heard a theory about how these goo-filled slime zombies are so scary to Simon because he was there when the war happened, he saw people eradicated and transformed into horrors before his eyes. Ice king really gone through the worst and no one believed his stories 💀😭

It’s crazy how no one notices that he sticks his hand out, trying to freeze Finn thinking he’s a mutant and probably thinking he’s protecting Marceline. But he doesn’t have the crown on.

I think it triggered his PTSD. He either remembering a forgetting feeling or having intense trauma of reliving a memory. He did lived multiple lifetimes due to the crown without any mental health fix
