I gotta say love is the most ineffective word in the entire human lexicon. We chose a SINGLE word to apply to literally the most complex experience a human being can encounter. The fact that familial love, friendly love, lustful love, romantic love, toxic love, endearing love, passionate love, and more all have vastly different meanings, but are usually referred to as love is such a shame. They all mean vastly different things, refer to different experiences, but often we just use the word love to describe something infinitely more complex and nuanced, damagingly so.

I think the wording on this needs tweaking, there's a limit on how much you can make yourself feel for someone, the rest is dependent on their personality and other uncontrollable things. The part you have some control over is how much you have feelings for; easiest to stop yourself from ever developing any. Unfortunately, if you really love someone and you can't cognitively reassess (or that doesn't work), removing reminders and stuff doesn't make you love them less, it just makes the feeling have no external triggers.
