@catholictruthofficial: When you attend Mass, you are standing at the foot of the Cross. You are uniting yourself with the angels and saints in worship of God. You are fed not merely with a symbol, but with the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ Himself in the Eucharist. The Church teaches that willfully missing Mass on Sundays or Holy Days of Obligation (without a serious reason like illness or care of infants) is a mortal sin (see CCC 2180–2181). Why? Because the Eucharist is the heart of our faith. To deliberately skip Mass is to turn away from the very act of worship and communion God Himself commands: “Do this in memory of Me” (Luke 22:19). When we say no to the Mass, we say no to the gift of God’s presence, to grace, and to obedience born of love. Make Mass your priority, not your option. Go not only on Sundays but go during the week if you can. The saints drew their strength from daily Communion. So can we.
