@daddiestothree: See what it’s really like getting ready for family photos 👀🍂 As much as I love having photos of the fam, its always seems to be a last-minute chaotic rush to get ready. So we decided to make it even more stressful by filming the process. Haha! I do have to say that it’s always worth it in the end. Seriously can’t wait to share this photo sesh with you!! #familyphotos #grwm #pumpkinpatchphotoshoot #btsfamily #fallphotos @Rachel Henderson
Is he telling you why he doesn’t like the shirts ? No hate ( honestly ) , it sounds like he is whining .

Oh, it’s overstimulating him. I would off other options, as someone with this issue… he can’t concentrate on anything else because it doesn’t feel good.

Sorry I’m with Winston. Even in winter I hate long sleeves. But bribery will get you a couple hours.

He could have sensory processing disorder. Certain fabrics do bother children with SPD.

My suggestion on Winston is let him wear a T-shirt. I’m 46 years old. My father is 74. I’ve never seen him in a long sleeve shirt. He only wears short sleeve shirts. In the winter because we live in New York, he might put a flannel on if he gets chilly, but he only wears short sleeve shirt shirts.

Try making a “special” spray. I didn’t for my kiddos. I just mixed water and some essential oil. Said okay I will put the special spray on the clothes.

Thats a battle that isnt worth it. You wont be able to talk him into being comfortable. T shirts and a jacket.

If it’s the texture of the shirt, would it help to wear a soft T-shirt under it? Otherwise, I’d just suggest 1 scoop of ice cream bribery per 1 hour of shirt wearing (adjust ratio to avoid upset tummy depending on time needed). Disclaimer: I have zero kids! Good luck :)

That’s my 7 year old with the clothing issues. Try under armor material that fits a little more snug then put the real shirt over the top

I have a picky clothes child too. Let him pick his shirt! I also found Old Navy usually was a win, sometimes Children's place.

All 3 of mine when through that clothes phase. I tried to do things with them that I wish someone did with me when I was younger! To avoid most of the melt downs I would give a choice between 2-3 shirts. It made them feel like they had some control. Or If in couldn’t do that I would let them know how long they have to wear it. Like, “we need to take these pictures in 1hr and have to wear the yucky shirt. But guess what?! You get to go pick out whatever outfit you want to put on right after! How fun is that?!” That worked until the preteen years lol
