My wife complains of this all the time and I tell her just as long as I can see you’re gonna be just fine. However, small thing to kind of understand our perspective if you’re sitting in the passenger seat and you are reclined back and or have your foot rest up you are farther away from the windshield than the driver so it’s possible he sees just fine, but if he was sitting back as far as you, he too may need the windshield wiper more often just my two cents

Honestly it has to do with vision, and focus, all i know is sometimes i need a little blur in front of me to make sure i keep my mind on the right things, such as driving.. it’s somewhat like an ADHD trait..
