I am an outpatient SUD counselor as well that primarily works with court mandated clients. It’s a hard field, especially with the court mandated ones but my goodness is it rewarding in every aspect for clients and ourselves. with a family history of substance abuse i like to say we see it from a different perspective. I do have a question, I’ve had some of clients get upset I was their counselor even though I’m not an addict; has this been an issue for you? (Assuming you are not an addict yourself) 🫶
