The suspect fled on a motorcycle around 1:30 p.m., reaching speeds over 100 mph and driving into oncoming traffic before colliding with a car near exit 56 in Ontario. He was seen injured but conscious and was airlifted to a hospital. Earlier, deputies had surrounded an apartment complex on Hollycock Drive, where a bloody vest and a shattered patrol car window were found.
