I filed for divorce while battling cancer at the same time . We were together for 13 years. I was there for him when he was hospitalized with Covid 2 years prior. I drove myself to and from my biopsies, scans, etc. because he couldn’t be bothered. I finally said no more and filed for divorce. I took the trash out myself.

So true my husband of 27 years got mad when he had to take care of me while I was having a heart attack. I’m now better and in the process of leaving him.

Went to the ER about to die and was hospitalized for almost one week and not one of my friends came to visit. Not even my best friend who I would talk to for hours every single day. Make sure you really know who your friends are. A lot of them are not

I was broke and hungry (I hadn't eaten in two days), so I called my brother (after three years of putting my life on hold to take care of my sick and dying dad which he refused to help at all with and, at one point, my mom was sick too so I was taking care of both of them with no help whatsoever). He encouraged me to make a cardboard sign and sing on the street. Next day he told me I brought it all on myself. We haven't spoken in 2 years since.
