When I had beagles and told people about them, it was so odd to hear the same response every time. And it was that people cringed at the thought of having to listen to a beagle bay. I always just said I actually really liked the sound and no one ever knew how to respond to that. But I do and I genuinely miss it often.

I initially wanted a Jack Russell terrier but I thought it would be too high-energy - too demanding, so I got a beagle. When you see a beagle being a lazy potato it’s only after a 6-hour walk. They are far demanding than a JR terrier - but worth every ounce of effort. 😂🥰
