Yiu still have a medical doctor who oversees your care incase of complications and you go to that doctors hospital if needed

I had a home birth and it was wonderful. No one should be forced into though. Like at all. Finding affordable midwives is already difficult.

I live in southern California and they shut down maternity wards HERE. Of all places, I live in a maternity ward desert in a very populated place. I tried just getting a maternity OB and I was rejected at 5 different places because they were full. Is there really lack of baby problem if this is happening?

also midwives are cheaper than the hospitals. Also I have a friend who wanted to go to a birthing center instead of a hospital but all of the birthing centers in our area are for the Amish only.

😭🤣😭🤣 This is what you guys get! Maybe now the mortality rate for black mothers and white mothers will finally match up. Black women mortality rate goes up when they seek medical intervention from hospitals! Home births are already safer for us. We can’t try to pretend like all these people freaking out right now would be silent if we had a blue president. Let them die.. isn’t white supremacy about the survival of the fittest. We will see if white women are the fittest.

I live in a VERY rural area and our critical access hospital has an OB catchment area that is astronomically huge. ppl travel several hours for ob care, we even have a part of canada in our catchment area. I worked as a biller for this CAH for a while and the amount of births that were only billed to Medicaid was very shocking to me at first. I dont think Republicans realize just how much ppl might be harmed or even 💀 because of this.
