We have people that check the trains and buses randomly. If you don’t have a ticket it can get very expensive. Most people that uses public transportation on a regular basis have a year pass.

oml.. girl as someone who lives in vienna theres those blue boxes everywhere that u have to put the ticket into to stamp it and u always have to do it cuz u never know when they will inspect it

Те ж саме в Празі. Але якщо тебе дійсно спіймають без квитка - штраф 2000, в той час як квиток на 30хв - 30крон. Воно дійсно того не варте їздити зайцем 🤷🏻♀️😁

actually you have to devalue the ticket. there are usually like orange machines in the subway, buses or tram where you have to insert the ticket, then it will get a time stamp on the ticket. if you get caught with a not devalued ticket you will get a fine.

it’s mostly in vienna that they don’t check tickets (but they might randomly check it), like for example I live outside of vienna and they check tickets regularly on trains and buses, etc.
