@emilymckeonfit: I’m not sober, but I also don’t drink every weekend like I did in college or for the first year I moved to Houston. Benefits I’ve noticed since not drinking as much alcohol: ✨Stronger Lifts —> I have been able to master push-ups, pull-ups, pistol squats & so much more! ✨Less Puffy —> I noticed my face and whole body are significantly less puffy (retaining less water), which makes my gains more visible! ✨Better Mental Clarity —> it’s not impossible to get things done under the influence or with a hangover, but it definitely makes it more difficult! ✨Deeper Connections —> I used to go out in large crowds & have surface level convos, but that didn’t fuel my soul. I prefer hanging out now in smaller group or 1-1 settings and building deeper connections. ✨More Me Time —> Less going out and drinking gives me more time for my hobbies, relaxing or hanging out with my doggie.
