Open to what big guy? Target or path? My club face at impact is open to the target but closed relative to the path and I hit nice little push draws; why? Because face to path is what matters.

Missing a couple key points. If you lift up like that it's gonna go dead right and if you don't close the face, which you won't by lifting, up it's gonna go dead right.
