But each passing day, as we grow closer and closer in love, I surrender more and more fear and doubt. This is my person. My mate. My equal. My tender and true. Someday I plan to write a book about the journey that led me to them. For now, I'll say that I felt their presence since I was a child. I lost it, and then found it again two years before we ever locked eyes. I had spiritual experiences with their essence before it ever came into my life. I wrote them love letters dated on their birthday two years before we ever met. When I saw them for the first time in person, a wave of electricity ran through my being. I recognized you immediately, although it was a process to get the mind on board with what the heart knew. We recognize each other more and more, again and again. What magic it is to be loved like this. What alchemy we have at our fingertips when we choose to embrace another, just as they are, and call them beloved. I plan to love you, to return to you, again and again until our souls pass on from this life. And then I plan to recognize you in the next.
