@consciouslylisa_: Throwback! This was our best Halloween year! The boys are so big now in comparison! But it was fun. We didn’t have to go outside and brave the cold, and no requests for Blue buckets or whatever weird things folks want from autists. Or was that for nonverbal kids? Either way, I always thought that was a weird ask. Kids, including autistic kids like mine should be able to show up and get some free candy without all the chatter and pleasantries. But that’s me! This year, I’ll be taking the boys by myself. Andre has to work and my sister does, too. Every year I feel so sad we don’t have a community to go trick or treating with so I try my best to make it fun for them. I hope they remember these times when they are older. Decor from and
