So I have a question, I’m in pre reqs for this ultrasound program that is CAAHEP accredited, but it’s so over saturated. I’m already into my second year of pre reqs because last year it the classes before entering the program got full fast, as I try to apply this year ( retaking classes for higher chance) classes filled within 6 minutes they opened and I’m waitlisted with so many people ahead of me ( mind you this is just pre reqs) I don’t even want to wait to do another year because that would be 3 years of not even being in the program I don’t even have a guaranteed spot they only accept 12 people. Sadly I feel like I’m forced to change my major into nursing because of how over saturated the DMS field is right now. My question was, I have this other school in mind but it’s not CAAHEP accredited. I would have to wait a whole year before sitting for my ARDMS exam , I heard some people from those classes don’t wait and have to take the ARRT exam then be able to take the ARDMS. Since it’s not an accredited school. Should I do this route? Some people around me don’t even hire unless you come from a CAAHEP program. I’m so lost. This is my dream.
