lowkey i was one of them unlabeled people until i realised im asexual and biromantic. i didnt know the words for it so i didnt feel comfortable with a label. even now, i dont usually tell people that im asexual and biromantic because they probably wont know what it means and i dont wanna explain it to them every time 😭

Hot/unpopular take (on the same note): sexuality isn’t ‘fluid’. You may believe that you’re a lesbian and later on be attracted to a man, or believe that you’re heterosexual and later on be attracted to a woman, and then identify as bi or pan or whatever. However, that doesn’t make sexuality fluid. You just hadn’t discovered YOUR sexuality yet. You were never a lesbian or a heterosexual, just that your self discovery journey just wasn’t finished yet. Lesbians whom are 100% ONLY attracted to women EXIST. Gay man who are exclusively attracted to men exist. Straight people whom are only attracted to the opposite gender exist. Their sexuality isn’t fluid. Your identity label IS fluid, but your sexuality is not. Which is why labels are still needed when queer sexuality is heavily politicized and criminalized all over the globe.
