so I lived with my adaptive dad several years after his wife /mum died. Right back in Africa, he was diment then. one thing for sure, Dad never forgot who I was. his face shined whenever he saw me. the frustration was when was roaming around looking for his wife /mum. At those moments I comforted him by songs we sang together when his wife mum was Alive. Dan, I think you can make it easierr for him though. He doesn't need explanation. be simple with him. otherwise you are doing good ...so far.🙏

Really sad … I spent a week in an Alzheimer’s unit in the VA and it was really sad.. the youngest guy in the unit ..
