those metals are from soil. which is why the foods with the highest lead are things with root vegetables, kale, and spinach. how do we know the vegetables we're getting in the produce section aren't the same

Just feed them what you eat. I have three kids, never once fed them baby food. They ate off my plate. I don’t understand why people make specific food for babies. Honestly always felt like a money grab. Make sure you just make food they can easily eat with your meals.
