@christian.grossi: American traveler is shocked by low prices in China 🇨🇳 This is filmed on the streets of Shanghai China and shows the normal prices in supermarkets. After entering a 7/11 is it clear to see that food and drink prices are incredibly low in China. Normally when buying from corner stores like 7/11s or Kiosks the prices are a bit higher. However after buying 4 different items, the price is lower than 3 dollars. None of these items would be less than 3 dollars in the USA, Argentina or Europe #fyp #tellme #traveltiktok #china #shanghai
Wait until he knows that 7 eleven is way more expensive then regular shops 🙏🥀

If you adjust the $2.20 total to multiply by the difference in annual salary (US average salary is at least 3.5% higher) than you end up at $7.70. My State average salary is 3.8x higher than China's so that is equal to $8.36. I can get each of these items in similar size at Kwik Trip (Conscience/Gas Station) except the coco water that they do not sell for $7.20 total. At Aldi I can get cocowater for $1.19, the water for under $1.
If you take your US salary with these Chinese prices you can do amazing. For locals tho this is close to the value In comparison to the average Chinese salary as the US Salary/Price comparison.

7/11 is actually rather expensive compared to going to a grocery store or other places that sell similar products in china. go to 好特卖 (hotmaxx). trust me this is where u get real cheap snacks.

In Australia, 7-11 is the most expensive “convenience” store there is. This is wild cheap! I’m curious to see other stores and markets
