I see confusion about “Hawkeye” here. So his actual name is Dracule Mihawk. He has a nickname due to his eyes. In Japanese it is “Taka no me” which means “eyes of the hawk”. Taka means Hawk. So in japanese his full title is “Taka no me no Mihawk” which translates to “Eyes of the Hawk, Mihawk” Oda does a lot of puns and wordplay in one piece which gets lost in translation. He’s called Hawk in two different languages essentially.
