so there are so many research coming out today saying parents who make kids do chores "grow up to learn valuable life skills like responsibility, time management, and problem-solving, while also building self-esteem and a sense of purpose. Chores help children develop a strong work ethic, learn to contribute to a community, and increase feelings of belonging and self-reliance, preparing them for future independence and success."

Almost every 9ja kid went through that. Emm......so what happened if you actually did finish your chores before they came home? Would they find other chores for you to do? Just because they were the "fun police"? OR did they only seem strict to you because as 'African' parents that was their desperate attempt to raise you right by making sure you could clean your own yard when you moved out etc? Its one thing to be book smart, we have to be well rounded. Look at you today. 🙌🏽👊🏾

but as a mother of 3 chores teaches kids responsibilities and discipline home work, dishes and past a broom no mopping is basic and tidy after yourself and I'm a nurse. why should I come home and do the same thing over and over and they see no problem.Chores teaches kids for sure my home is cleaner and lighter😂😂😂😂

African parents prepare us for our adult life. Let's be grateful. Some of them take it to another level but still I will always choose that... 🥰
