Crispy Beer-Battered Hake 🍺🐟 No fancy tricks — just perfect golden crunch. You’ll need: • 500g hake medallions • Salt & pepper • 225g flour (keep 75g aside) • 1 tbsp paprika • 1 tbsp garlic powder • 1 egg • 340ml light beer (lager) • Oil for frying Optional : bake potatoes for one hour on 110 degrees celcius and fry normally Optional: ribboned cucumber and carrot with soya sauce, sesame seed oil and white wine vinegar, covered with sesame seeds How to: 1️⃣ Salt the hake and let it rest 15 min on paper towel. 2️⃣ Heat oil to 185°C. 3️⃣ Mix 150g flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt & pepper. Add egg + beer until smooth. 4️⃣ Dredge hake in plain flour, dip in batter, and fry 3–5 min until golden & crispy. 5️⃣ Serve hot (bonus points if you make chips 🍟).
