@storybookmaze: They say kids in Baltimore city don’t want to read and Gen Alpha is addicted to screens, but with open and easy access to high-quality, high- interest books brought right to their block, kids prove they do still love books! Sometimes what initially appears as a lack of interest, is actually about a lack of access and in book deserts it can be particularly difficult. because why are these kids fighting over books? 😂😂 That would not happen and a place of book abundance. As a teacher I can confirm kids do LOVE to read, you just have to provide them opportunities to do so! We did an old school DEAR day! And man they now say they want it every Friday!
