My friend cheated. I said never use me as an excuse to where you are or who you are with or I will never speak to you again. Also if the spouse asks me I cannot look someone in the face and lie. Now they both work hard at their relationship. Also lots of men who were in Vietnam or Korea- the wives knew they were cheating overseas and just looked the other way.

Yes…it’s never that simple. My brother in law cheated on my sister…years have now passed. I would no longer call him a friend but we still talk and interact etc a lot due to my nephew and niece.

I would be friends with someone who has cheated, especially if they have remorse about it. I do not stay friends with people who admit to chronically cheating to me. It feels icky especially when they don’t feel bad at all that they’ll be hurting their partner
