These kids have lost the plot, not that they ever had it. You go to Harvard for the best education possible. If your education has real value it doesn't matter if you get Cs or As. Your GPA shouldn't be there just for a nice looking bullet of a resume.

I kinda get the point of grade inflation. I was an engineer at Cornell for a while, and the majority of my classes had a B/B+ median. I’m now applying to law school, and the top schools all have 3.99 medians. How can I even compete

To be fair, grades used to have C as an average, now Cs don’t let you graduate in a lot of places and majors, the standard just shifted. It not just “too easy” it’s a cultural and expectation shift

had an AP Bio teacher in an academicly competitive high school who got angry we were all Acing the tests and kept making it harder and harder to correct his “bell curve”. So we all studied harder and harder to keep getting A’s, but i didn’t sleep more than 4 hours a night that semester. No matter how artificially difficult you make it, a high performer is going to perform highly even if it destroys their health.

but yeah it does suck for some, the ones who would have succeeded anywhere even with a small %, now they are seen as a regular student. not a big deal tho they graduate from Harvard and either they have connections or jobs require actual skill and it doesn't matter what GPA or school

This should not shock anyone. All these kids are on “Honor Roll” right now, yet they have absolutely no critical thinking or common sense, but they are all academically gifted?? …Nahhh, it’s never tracked. It’s just keeping colleges in business. Everyone is not meant for college - it was never set up for this nonsense that’s going on now. College is for those who are above average, especially the Ivy League schools……and there is a reason for that 😂
