When my grandparents passed all I had asked for was a picture that sat on their dresser. My uncle claimed it and a few months later I found it in a vintage store front window. Had to pay $18 to get it back but now it’s mine ❤

That's awesome. Waiting on my late Aunt's necklace because that's the only thing I want. My sister still hasn't sent it to me .All the cousins got stuff and nobody asked me .I'm so beyond hurt

I love this 💙 Before I flew home learning my grandpa passed away, I asked my mom if she could grab his jacket for me while they were cleaning his stuff. It belonged to him at first. But it got passed on to my grandma. Then she passed & then it moved on to my aunt, who passed years later. Then got returned back to my grandpa, who then passed years after my aunt. I'm so happy I have his jacket. Feels like I have a piece of everyone who wore it before me of the family members who passed away in my family.

Oh my god the only thing I wanted from my grandpa was his nat geos too! And 15 years later I still have all 3000 lbs of them 😅 Check Facebook and Craigslist, people are always purging big collections for cheap/free

My grandmas Coffee and Tea canisters got donated. I already had the Flour & Sugar. Looked on FB Marketplace and found a lady that had just the Coffee & Tea canisters. Found out that she bought from Goodwill where my grandma lived 3 hours away. She gave them to me when I told her what I think happened.

During the angry part of my grief when I lost my mom I sold her house and everything in it. Over the last year someone’s been donating her dinnerwear set to different thrifts across town. I’m only missing a coffee cup ❤️

Im so glad you got his collection!! My great Uncle had a basement full of Nat geographic magazines and decades of calendars with his notes on the weather. His kids threw them all away in a dumpster and then hosed them down so family couldn't retrieve them. pretty crazy!
