What do you get/pay per sq for Smartside install? I'm in NW Iowa and most want $8/sqft.

The deterant of mitres have nothing to do with leaks getting into or not getting into the house it has to do with self preservation of the material as per LP warrantee. There is no such thing as a siding leak, the house is supposed to be sealed up by framers. We dress it up and take precautions to encourage water to shed out of the envelope if and when it gets in.
