And yes, Italy is beautiful. The food, the nature, the slower pace, it’s all so special. But what you don’t see are the quiet moments behind closed doors, the ones that humble you and strip away everything you thought you were. Italy shaped me in ways I could have never imagined. It taught me how to sit with myself, to rebuild from the inside out, and to meet this new version of me that’s still unfolding. And while I love it here, it’s not always easy. Coming from America, where everything feels possible, to a place that moves slower and doesn’t make it simple to build or feel supported has its challenges. But that’s the thing, every place has its pros and cons. What I’ve learned is that true happiness has nothing to do with where you live. It’s the relationship you build within yourself that determines how you experience the world around you. When you find peace inside, nothing outside of you can really shake you. You stop needing to run or chase something else to feel fulfilled. You start to realize how sacred being alone can be, taking yourself out, exploring, connecting with strangers, just being in your own energy.
